ABI calls for conservation proposals
The Agulhas Biodiversity Initiative (ABI) is now calling for proposals for organisations involved in conservation on the Agulhas Plain. Forming part of the ABI Small Grants Facility (supported by the Table Mountain Fund, an associated Trust of WWF-South Africa), funding of up to R20,000 will be provided to community-based projects.
\ABI will support projects for a year through the ABI Small Grants Facility. Projects must be aligned with ABI's themes, and must contribute to biodiversity conservation in the Overberg. Projects must also link with local municipalities.
To date, ABI has supported three projects through the facility: the Whale Coast Conservation Frog Monitoring Project, the Greyton Town Transition, and a Mobile Laboratory Unit to promote environmental education.
Applications to ABI should be received by 16 September 2014.
