Land users and conservancy members are invited to attend a conservation training day in Bredasdorp presented by Conservation at Work. The event will be held on 13 September for the whole day at the Department of Agriculture’s offices in Bredasdorp.
The Department of Agriculture Western Cape’s Manager of Landcare, Francis Steyn, will present on the critical need for erosion control and repair through no-till farming practices.
The importance of snakes in our landscapes will be touched on, as well as the tools to measure conservation farming on your property by Nico Uys, Agricultural Manager of Probio.
Flower Valley Conservation Trust’s Executive Director, Lesley Richardson, will present on the fynbos conservation work taking place across the Cape Floral Kingdom, as part of the Sustainable Harvesting Programme.
Training will also cover the showing of the award-winning and internationally-acclaimed film, “Symphony Of the Soil” by Lilly Films.
